Roof Maintenance

Is there anyone out there that has resealed their fiberglass roof as a maintenance thing? I had mine washed and then I went up to wax the AC units and the vent domes. I didn't see any damage but I wondered if it need to be done.

Maybe some 303 to protect the gelcoat from the UV. Just look for cracks in the joints. If the AC gasket gets compressed to where the pan makes contact with the roof then its gasket time.

I have done maintenance on my 2012 roof last May.
I cleaned it with a mild soap (Spic-N-Span) and water mixture and a soft scrub brush.
I looked at the edges of the existing sealer to the fiberglass roof for separation, dried out, and usually dark dirt stains where water puddled.
Then I purchased 4 tubes of self leveling sealer and applied over all the existing sealer edges and fiberglass roof. I didn't find any dried out edges so just laying a thin later over the existing did it for me.

Hope this helps you.

I go up there once per season and wash the roof with normal car wash and a car washing brush. Then I go around and check the adhesion on the sealant on everything I can find. Seems like I always find a few places where I the sealant can be pulled up easily. Wherever this happens I pull up the old sealant and put new Dicor down.
