MrGrumpy:
I got a work order# from FR. They told me to call in Dec. for an appt. in May. I would like to get it done now before any leaking. I am going to contact B&E, to see if I can get them to do the work while I am in Fl.

Thank You 360true. I will contact Bobby today and discuss the situation with him while I am in Florida.

Did you get your roof fixed? What did they actually do?

The appt. didn't work out with our travel plans to Titusville, Fl., so I decided to have it done in Goshen next May 2016. So far it hasn't gotten any worse, so I am keeping an eye on it. I thought if any other thing happen, I could get that done as well.

My dealer, after extensive discussion with FR will be installing a repair kit provided by FR. Not sure exactly what this is, but hope works.

Hello all...
My GT is at the body shop getting roof caps along both sides. In talking with FR this is their recommendation for the ripple repair... EST to take 2 months due to paint work.

Roof repair. Is it resilient?

I posted previously, ripples over radius front, back and both sides. FR said was normal, rarely a problem. Was definitely dynamic with the heat ripples were bigger and smaller in cold. Did not take long and a real crack occurred. FR put the aluminum radius cap on and I just picked it up this week in the rain. Repair looks good right now . But as mentioned now I have new seams and many screws to watch that they stay covered with Dicor.

If anyone has had this done in the past and can tell me if it lasts with the heat and cold changes I would really like to know. If it does not last does FR stand behind the repair beyond the end of the usual 1 year warranty period?

This will be fun. The Motorhone just spent a month in the body shop getting the runs and overspray fixed. I guess it will be back in the body shop again when they get the caps screwed on. Good thing it's winter here and we are not waiting to use it.
