RV Coffee Table ?!?

Got tired of holding the tray of cheese , crackers & wine glasses in our hands as well as not having a place to put our feet up.
Decided to make a small coffee table (hinged top with storage) with a cherry top to match the wood in our Georgetown .
What are folks using to solve this short coming?
I've often wondered why RV manufacturers don't offer something along these lines?

This was made small enough to tuck into the corner of the sink / oven when the slide is in w/o getting in the way.

I use a small round leather ottoman. The top flips over and has a wood tray on the other side. Storage inside also. Sorry I don't have a picture. The kids also put it by the dinette for another person to sit at while playing cards.

pic of it tucked away please. Think using it as a footstool would mess up your cheese tray, crackers, wine glasses etc etc
and make you big time grumpy [emoji16]

LoL, yeah it's one or the other not both at the same time!
Here it is in the corner where it stays when the slides are in.

And here it is open. We keep the remotes, a fleece blanket & motorhome magazine in it.
Nothing special just a solution to a problem we had and some additional storage.

** sorry for the crappy pics, we're out in Ohio Amish Country relaxing this weekend ***

I love my RV Ottoman w/storage!

We are newbies just bought our FOREST RIVER 27RKSS couple months ago!! I wanted to share with you the great find I made. I found it on Amazon. Paid around $45. Ottoman with 6 storage drawers (each drawer shoebox size) very sturdy!! I put it together in 10 minutes. Just wanted to share!! And it looks great in my trailer.

Ottoman

We bought 2 collapsible ottomans at Wallyworld, $10 each? Fold up into practically nothing, soft top for foot rests, lots of storage (2x2) inside. The move easy and take up very little room. You can sit on them too. Sturdy!

Ours is similar but rectangular not round. Great addition for added utility as a table or foot rest. Like this for example:

we found small snack tables on amazon.ca, but they have them on amazon.com too One on amazon.com is called Coaster 900280 snack table. We have 2 in our travel trailer and they fit at the sofa, by the chair or anywhere else we decide we need one - even outside. I like that they slide in so you don't have to hunch over a table to eat. The bottom will hold a basket/box if you want to store things.

Ours actually came with a small coffee table that goes in between the Lazy Boy recliners, but it doesn't leave much room for swiveling. I don't like it and wanted to get rid of it, but my wife just pushed it up against the island and uses it. It even has a lamp attached to it. We started using the two bar stools for a TV tray, but not much room on those. Then again, that's what the dinette is for. But that is a dandy that you built! I'll trade you straight across for ours.

I like this little folding coffee table from Wal Mart. It can be collapsed and kept behind the sofa when travelling, and also will fit under the Murphy bed when I pull it down. The size is perfect for my 2104S.

THIS was a GOOD FIND! We got the two collapsible foot stools that work great and DO have lots of storage. I put my laptop - IPad - paperwork etc in them and they are out of sight and keeps things looking neat. The hubby's is still empty but I'm sure we'll think of something one day.

But this piece has real potential and I have save the information in case I think of another place I could use it.... Debbie
