Rv repair records

Is there a RVfax like CARFAX. We bought a 2011 Georgetown 30'. Two weeks ago. Took it out for 3 days. Steps would not come up and the elec plugs were tripping the GFI. Wondering of it had elec issues before. Any way to find out?

You can run a CARFAX report on a motorhome, there will be records there of previous owners and reported accidents. The information you are looking for though may not be included. Any accident or repair which was not reported to police would not show up on the report. Your best bet in getting specific RV repair records would be from the previous owner, or possibly the dealership where it was serviced (if you know that info). I don't know of any other RV repair records database.

to the Forums. If your steps are still down check under the steps just inside the coach. There is a fuse in there for the steps. It's either a green or dark blue rubber in-line fuse holder. The steps should automatically close when you turn the ignition key. It sounds like the fuse unless the motor or board are bad.

Do yourself a favor while you are digging around with the stairs install a switch that overrides the door sensor and the reason is I and DW have parked near a curb or something else thinking we were clear and opened the door only to hear it grind to a stop against the curb. With the switch you can open the door and look first or if you open the door hit switch and stairs will retract
