Safe T Plus

Has anyone had the Safe T Plus steering system installed on their GT? I searched on this site and only saw old posts from 2010 or for Sunseeker MH's. Seems like a good investment in safety. Any feedback?

Have it on our Berkshire, help tighten the steering, lucky no blow outs so don't know how it would do.

I have the SteerSafe on my front end June 2013.(40,000 miles)
All are designed to keep you straight down the road if you have a front tire blow out.
Now it also take the fatigue away while driving long distances and less strain on you gripping the steering wheel.
Here is their website. $439 and very easy to install on a Georgetown

Does one have any advantage over the other? Steer safe vs. Safe T Plus?

Safe-T-Plus is a shock that has resistance both ways of movement.

SteerSafe is a compensating pendulum effect as they have 2 springs that counter act each other and hold the steering line.
Price is $439 but you can install yourself . They have docs and videos online. Any nothing to wear out or leak.
I know a lot here use this on their Georgetown's

Now The Safe_T_Plus is cheaper at Camping World now at $353 plus tax and shipping and installation.
Safe-T-Plus Steering Control - Steering Stabilizers - Camping World

I guess this is good and I haven't heard about anyone here having it but maybe someone will pop in soon.

Hope this helps you decide.

Had a front tire blowout at 65mph. Rig stayed in the lane until I slowed enough to pull on to the shoulder. Not scared anymore!!!

Were you using one of the stabilizer systems?

The Safe T Plus at camping world price is for the smaller one, if you have 22.5 wheels, you can expect to still pay close to 500 for the 41-230

Toolman, No stabilizer. I did do the CHF on the front so maybe that helped.

Mel, I bought the Roadmaster RSA steering stabilizer which is the same concept as Safe T Plus but half the price. Well made and Roadmaster is a good name.
