Trying to add a WINEGARD PATHWAY X2 for Dish...with 2 receivers. One in bedroom and one in living room.

A breeze...kicks me out. Continually rescanning, unplug,,,plug,,,remove card,,,reinsert card
Switch cables...now switch back....
I'm getting very cranky. Each tech support person, always changes the previous settings.

Do you have any tips and or advice?...
Thanks.

Sorry about your x2 issues. We also have the pathway X2 with a single dish receiver. It has been flawless and we never loose the signal. At times I have to upload the program guide but that is it. It is even mounted on the flimsy tripod made for the dish.

Bryan,
Just one or two thoughts. I normally check the general direction to the satellite with a compass first to try to get a clear view without tree interference before setting it on the ground, then I stake it before letting it try find the satellites. Sometimes it can still get enough signal through trees to setup, but when the wind blows, the leaves and branches block the signal enough to the point where it assumes that it has to start the search anew. The signal has to be low (or preferably no) interference line of sight.

We use an app on the phone called 'Satellite AR' that shows us exactly where the Echostar (Dish) satellites are. That we we can ensure there is a clear path to them. Like Ford1 said, tree branches or the like blowing in the wind will cause symptoms like you are describing.

Bryan, any luck on the setup? And if so, what did you do?
