Sealant for Georgetown unit.
Was renewing a caulk seam on the roof of our 378xl and the caulk used appeared to be more of a rubber type caulk rather than the Dicor caulk I have always seen and used. I sent an email to the factory for the type sealant they use and received the following response:
Thank you for your email. Really you can use about any self-leveling sealant on the roof. We suggest a 311 Nu-Flex. That is what my shop uses, and we believe it to adhere the best but like I said any RV fiberglass self-leveling sealant should do it. I hope this helps, and thank you for contacting Forest River with your service needs!
I looked up 311 NuFlex RV Sealant, it is a self leveling silicone caulk for Fiberglass application. I recall seeing several post about not using silicone as " it will fail". Evidently not, at least in this application, for fiberglass only and it is formulated for Fiberglass RV's.
FYI.
