Seatbelts in 351

Hey all, can someone confirm how many seatbelts there are total in the 351ds? Thanks in advance!

The operative word being “seatbelts”. This does not USUALLY include shoulder harness positions. Even on most (or all) motorhomes, only the pilot and copilot seats have 3 point belts. Some positions have you facing sideways.

Make sure to investigate thoroughly if you’re contemplating child seats or harness points like would be found in a REAL vehicle.

Thanks, no child seats. I know there are shoulder belts up front. Just want to know how many lap belts are in the coach.

Not familiar with your exact unit, but....
How many does it sleep?
In order to be legal, it’s supposed to have as many belted seating positions as it’s rated to sleep from the manufacturer.

If it sleeps 6, it better have 6 sets of seatbelt positions.

That would be nice but my GT5 34H5 "sleeps 5" has a total of four belted seats. A friend's GT5 36B5 "sleeps 8" and has the same four belted seats, the two seats up front and the two forward-facing seats in the dinette.

None of the sideways seats have belts. "sleeps" numbers are from RVUSA; I don't know where they got them. Some sites say the 36B5 sleeps 8 and some say it sleeps 9. It's still only got a total of four seat belt positions.

Right, I'm pretty sure the unit will sleep 9. I'm trying to determine how many belts. I've read that a few states require everyone riding in the unit require belts.

Ours is a 2013 351DS
We have 7 lap belts plus 2 belts up front

Thanks for your post. That's interesting! I watched a video today that showed 2 belts (with should belt) up front, 1 in the euro chair, 2 on the couch and 2 on the forward facing bench for the table. Totalling 7. Where your 2 additional belts?

I have a 2013 351DS too. Same belt count. 2 up front, one on the chair, 2 on the couch and2 at the table.

I stand corrected. Our 2020 34H5 arrived at the dealer today and unlike the 2019 one we saw on a lot at another dealer it in fact has six seat belts. The two front ones, the two forward-facing dinette seats and the two sideways recliners both have belts. So now I'm wondering if the 2019 one was missing the belts or whether this was a 2020 change. I'm guessing the former.

So "sleeps 5" and has 6 belts.

Not sure why Forest River does this. My buddy’s 17 Fleetwood has 6 or 7 seating positions. And sleeps less. My 12 can sleep 8 and only seats 5. Not even a seat belt on the rear facing dinette seat like other manuf offer.

Our 2019 34H5 has lap belts on the two side facing recliners as well for a total of six seatbelts including driver and passenger seat.
