Seeking some assistance from the Georgetown customer service folks.
Have been in protracted email conversation with the current Customer Service representative as found on the Forrest River web site. Folks, don't waste your time. Needing information on a replacement material for the padded vinyl ceiling for or
Georgetown XL. Long story short, we had a water leak over the drivers area that has stained and ruined the padded vinyl and under mounting board. We are full timers and I asked for assistance of bringing the unit to the factory for repair and pay them or at least if I could purchase the required material direct. The only answer I have received is take it to a "service center" I.e., dealer. Tried to explain the pitfalls of a dealer repair while full timing. 2 weeks till they look at it, 5 weeks repair and get to it in a couple of months. Typical dealer stuff. The new staff person, she admits to being a new hire, has not the foggiest idea of what customer service is. I have kept all of the correspondence thus far generated and if I weren't the guy behind the eight ball it would read like a comic script.
Does anyone have any idea of whom to contact at Forest River that could actually assist in a real problem. Unfortunately John Armstrong is there any longer, he was the best.
Thanks, Jim.
