FYI
I just email Progressive Dynamic about the PD9270 Inteli-Charger I have in my Georgetown and wanted to know if the charger is capable of charging either Lead acid or AGM batteries. Her eis the questiona nd reply.

Question
I have PD9270 charger in my motorhome. I have two lead acid batteries that are presently installed. If I install AGM batteries does the charger know or care about charging cycles?

Answer from manufacturer
The charger comes from the factory set for AGM and Lead acid.

13.2 volts Storage mode
13.6 volts Regular mode
14.4 volts Boost mode

Here is what I have done. My standard lead acid batteries boiled over slightly several times during the first year (2012). My Trawler needed new house batteries so I took the MH batteries out and put them in my boat. Then I put 2 new sealed Group 27 lead acid batteries in the MH. No problems so far this year and no boiling over. During storage at home I flip my supply breaker off or on several times a week so the batteries won't get too much or too little charge. Plan to get a battery minder next. Had AGMs in my boat and don't personally think they are worth the added cost. Just my opinion for what its worth. About the same as my CD rates probably.

They have 3 models and all 3 batteries are exactly the same price of $108 plus old battery exchange.

They are lead acid and are the same physical size.

Now here is the difference

Model 33027, 750 Cold Cranking Amps with 135 amps reserve, 50 lbs

Model 50727, 825 Cold Cranking Amps with 140 amps reserve, 49.5 lbs

Model 50527, 750 Cold Cranking Amps with 140 amps reserve, 48 lbs

As you can see they all are close but not sure which I would pick.. Do you?
None of them if I was intending to dry camp, any of them if I was going electric site to electric site.

Need 6 or 12 v golf cart batteries like Trojans or Deka or etc. for dry camping.

X2. I got two GC10 Deka's for $115 each and they are ROCK SOLID. I would have got some T105 Trojans but the industrial battery supplier hade and recommend the DEKA's.

X2, none of these, they appear to be dual purpose batteries and I for one won't go there. Amp reserve does not equal Amp hours. The Ah will be too low for my liking.
