I keep my hoses and all things utility in the rear most driver side compartment. That's not a pass thru and no odors seem to escape. Also, I rinse my hoses every time I dump and try to dry when I can.

I thought about the vinyl pipe approach but, instead, made these "compressors" out of some scrap wood and some 7/16" dowels. The black ends have the dowels hot glued to keep them in place.

I use a Camco Sewer Hos Holder.
Two 8 foot Aluminum angles from Home Depot.
Cut an 8" piece off of each length to mount on to each stabilized jack angle.
Bolt them to the jack angles.
Bolt the two long lengths to the hose tube flanges.
Bolt the assembly to the short angles on the jack so the holder is even or just inside the body edge by the connection.

I had to cut the ears some on the sewer connector to slide it into the holder.

No mess or smells inside.

Works very nicely.
