Talking Shakedown Cruise. Yeah, and Booyah!

I towed our 2005 Liberty Renegade 4X4 over a winding, 6,000 foot pass (Walker pass on California 178), and it ran like a dream! Never got below 45 mph, never got warm, and all systems worked fine.

I learned that I have some sort of rear obstruction alarm, after I unhooked the Jeep and had to back the MoHo up a couple of feet to clear the power pole! Some woman in my dashboard told me that there was an obstruction directly to my rear!

Anyone have any data on this system? I saw the sensors on the rear cap, but couldn't believe that I had this feature!

After all of my pre-flight work, everything worked as advertised.

I also discovered that the water heater is on a dedicated breaker, so I don't have to add a switch (but probably will) to operate it on 110-VAC from inside.

The rear alarm system may have been added by the original owner. I know it wasn't an option in 2006 but it may have been in 2005??? Either way it's a nice feature to have.

I've searched the net for any sensors that looked like the ones on here, but to noi avail. They're about 3" wide by 3/8" high with two silvery discs. Three sensors across the rear "bumper".
