Shower door hook question
When we were returning from the dealer to the storage unit, I had to brake fairly suddenly courtesy of a little prius that thought pulling in front of a big motorhome was a wise life choice. During that braking, the hook on the shower doors lifted itself off the knob and the shower doors started sliding back and forth. Obviously we pulled over and fixed it. I was looking at the design yesterday and realized that since the hook doesn't really clip on to the knob that this could happen any time one were to brake quickly. I was thinking about applying a rubber band around the hook and the little blade assembly that has the slots for the doors to make sure the hook stays down while on the road. Has anyone else come up with a different solution? (I'm sure I'm not the first to discover this.)

I had the same problem. Went to Home Depot and purchased a C clamp which we use when traveling. The shower doors now stay secure.

Boy, could we sure start a new thread on this! Glad that you didn't have more problems than the shower door.

Out trailer has a radius shower door on which the door hook has come undone a couple of times. Caused the rollers at the top of the door to break. DW now puts a women's pony tail tie on it. Fits perfectly.

For all I know it could be stuck in the grill. I'll have to check next time we are at the motorhome.

Same thing happened to us, except one panel shattered. Big surprise when we went to unload. I had some wood doweling that fit in the track perfectly, so I use that.

We had to keep the shower door open especially while traveling so the cats could use the liter box. I used an adjustable curtain rod and positioned it up high to avoid hitting my head.

In Iggy's picture the latch appears to be metal. In my 2015 it is flimsy plastic.

Iggy and I have the same unit, 378. The latch is plastic. Have never had a problem since new, 2011.

Our radiused shower door stays latched together but they will roll side to side as a unit when on the road, we been using an appropriately sized bungee from the latch to a conveniently located towel rack to pull them snuggly against a stop.
