Shutters
Anybody have any ideas on how to fix the accordion style blinds on my 330ts, the blinds are fine it's where they anchor into the wall.
I ripped the left side out of the wall and now the hole is getting bigger due to the fact I keep trying shove the anchor back in there!
I thought about using toothpicks but don't really know what to try next.
Thank you

I would fill the hole in with an epoxy, let it cure and then drill the hole.

Drill-fill-drill- are you a boater in a past life?

No, I was not a boater, can't afford it. JK. Is it something I can get from a marine (boat) shop?

Just anchor it lower or higher than where it is. It's just a screw that holds the tension bobbin for the blind. Move the other one to match the new location. Wind or un-wind as necessary the cord from the bobbin to your tension preferrences.

As long as it will adhere, I have used JB weld dries rock hard.

Ford's description was something that I remember from boat building forums (kayaks- little boats!). The epoxy that we used then was a 2-part epoxy from various places. I liked West Systems epoxy if I wanted the "good" stuff. I got cheap and started using Raka epoxy from a guy in Florida.
But the idea is that you drill and oversize hole, then fill it with epoxy so that it's waterproof and drill it again in just the epoxy giving you a waterproof & secure fitting.

Can you move it over a little bit into a new area so that the screw can bite? You can then remove the knot from the rope and readjust. If not, what about one of those plastic anchor inserts. You can enlarge the hole to fit the plastic anchor, put some epoxy in the hole and push in the anchor. I've used all sorts of epoxy, but the easiest one is the syringe type that mixes the epoxy as you push.

At the FROG rally last summer, Forest River did exactly as suggested when I had a tension issue with one of my curtains. He just drilled another hole just below the original hole. The curtain covers the old hole and you can not tell it was ever repaired. A lot easier than fill and drill.
