Slack in cables on slides
We are out on our first trip in the motor home. Everything is going well love our Georgetown 328ts. But I was sitting outside watching tv and noticed that the top cables on the bedroom slide has slack in them unlike the others. Is there a way to tighten these back up.

I don't think your slide is all the way out.

Your windows should be fully exposed. You slide at least at the top needs to come out more. On the inside of rv is slide up against wall at the top or do you have a gap?

Check for an obstruction on your slide roof, like a smoke alarm falling on to it

Yes, you can tighten them.
You'll want to learn more about the accu-slide system before making any radical changes, however if you pull down the facia board inside the camper on the top of the slide you will find all eight cables for the slide.
You will be able to find the too loose ones fairly easy. Don't over tighten them; just take the slack out.

Please show us a picture of the inside of that slide out. From six feet away.

Your cables should be taunt at all times, in , out, or in between never any slack, lousy set up, I have one cable slide on our Charleston , but I would agree slide appears Not to be fully extended . Even still cables should be taunt .
Can't believe FR is still using them.
Good luck

That slide looks to have a tilt in it, or at least in the photo. And yes, the full window should be exposed more but the inside does look correct. Hmmm?

Slide should go out far enough to expose the entire window(s). Something is amiss and is keeping it from fully extending. I would be removing the facia boards and having a look or bring the slide in about a foot and look all around the slide for something stopping it.

So I probably just need to take the slack out of it. I'll take it to the shop when we get back from our trip to make sure everything is in line and where it's supposed to be

Marine007, I see the same thing that others see. The gap between RV and top of slide is considerably shorter than the gap between RV and bottom of slide. In normal operation you would see the gap to be pretty even
