Question Slide comes out 5 or 6 inches on its own

HI I have a 2011 geogetown 378 and notice that my right side slide will creep out about 5 inches when left in the closed position for a week or so & cabin power is disconnected.

No problem with other two slides.

Any ideas what is causing this?

Is the slide moved in and out by hydraulic or motor?

Cherck the fluid level in the pump tank....also activating the jacks sometimes will make the slides move a bit on mine but never 5 inches..

Thanks for the ideas

It is level, works on hydraulic. I'll check the fluid level.

Any idea where it is on a 378?

Its under the inside steps. Remove the steps using the barrel key to unlock. Look to the rear of the coach from the batteries.

My rear slide comes out about an inch when I start the engine. At the same time the main slide apears to get loose when I do that. So that the next time I sit down on the dinette after starting the engine the bottom of the slide pops out a half inch or so.

I assume that starting the engine resets the valves on the hydraulic pump or something but I haven't investigated further yet.

Hi
Finally got to root of my slide problem. Dealer found a leak in hydraulic lines as well as in at pump. Waiting now for replacement pump.

During the troubleshooting I did I found that the pump also controls the leveling jacks. And when you check you fluid levels jacks up and slides in.

Don't forget to keep a lookout for blisters on the orange hydraulic lines, they are prone to that. Just had 9 replaced on my 2011 378, Lippert claims the new ones are better quality than oem.
