Slide gasket replacement

I have 2005 Georgetown XL 359 TS. The wardrobe slide vertical gasket is torn and needs replacing. Is that a DIY job or do I need a professional?

Someone suggested the slide might need to be removed. Any thoughts on that?

Can you post a photo of the tear? There are several styles of seal, and some are multi-component. Many have a bulb that can be replaced separate from the wiper as well. So a picture might help give you guidance.

I have the tear covered with eternabond tape to prevent leak. I will see if I cans send pic of gasket

If the seal is just ripped and no chunks missing you can save yourself some bucks and aggravation by super gluing it back together.
