Slides & Leveling Jacka
We have a 2013 Georgetown 377 XL that all of a sudden will not retract the Jacks or the slides won't go out. Got ready to move so brought slides in got stuff packed up and the Jacks would not come up. So I went to put slides back out and the bedroom slide moved out about 2 inches and stopped. I checked the batteries and they were junk so I replaced them but still no action on the jacks or slides. Help! Just when ya think ya can fix anything on these critters they bite ya,

It sounds as if the batteries were not getting charged.
Did you check the main 100 amp DC breaker usually in the control center box area. See mine to the upper left of the main box on the wall marked 100A. I bet yours is tripped.
The button trips it and the red arm goes out. Push the red arm in and it is set.
The best thing is to try and only use the hydraulic system when you know you have good house batteries or you can make sure you are plugged into shore power 120 volts before doing any slides or levelers.

The only thing I can suggest at this time is to start checking all your coach battery voltages.
Open the control box and check all the fuses with a meter.
Check all fuses coming off of your batteries.
Check to see if your battery charger for the coach is supplying power to the batteries.
If you are not sure about how to do this you will need someone who knows how to check with a meter.
Good luck

Jacks & Slides
Iggy & Donlock,
Okay after checking the fuses and the Batt switch is on with the engine running, al of a sudden the Leveling system started working. Didn't find any bad fuses and all of the voltages are fine. Still the bedroom slide is out about 2 inches and none of the slide switches do anything. Everything worked great a month ago and now this. Gobblens, maybe.

Could it be in your controller for the leveling system?

Just a quick check. The slides do not operate with the engine running (ignition on).

Jacks & Slides
I got in touch with Forrest River service and was directed to the battery control box under the steps to the 15amp fuse on the far right and replaced it and have operating slides again. So all is fine and I would like to thank all with your suggestions! Jon

That is the "ignition cutoff to slide switches" fuse. Makes sense. Although, I thought if it was blown the slides could be operated with the engine running. Live and learn. Glad you got it fixed.

Most Georgetown owners should remember both the 15a fuse inside the box, and the red flag. I think the hydraulic pump operates just below the 15a limit and I have reset that flag numerous times. I did however recently replace my house batteries. An additional note though, I did replace a slide control switch. The kitchen slide was causing the 15a fuse to pop, so the hydraulic pump wouldn't work. I took the black wire off the switch, took the short away and the pump operated. Thankfully the kitchen slide was in when this occurred.

In this thread is the schematic drawing of the black box under the steps next to the D.C. Flag breaker. If someone has a readable copy I would like it.
