Slow Draining Bathroom Sink 378

The bathroom sink is very slow draining on our 2014 GT 378. I have removed the trap and it is clear. Any suggestions? There is probably a clog in the pipe heading to the grey tank. Can I use a chemical cleaner like a Draino, or am I perhaps better getting a small plastic snake? I did try the volcano (baking soda and vinegar) without any change.

Mine drains to the black tank. You may want to check your vent. I found a wasp nest in mine.

Mine drains into grey water tank.
Look under the sink to see if you have a air release trap.
It is a line from the drain and dead end pointing up with a device on the end.
Unscrew this device and see how things drain without it as well as inspect it to see if its working properly. All I know it is a small vent that releases air so it drain better.

I have also plugged the sink drain and let the glass bowl fill up then released it to drain sometime that air breather cap thing gets stuck closed and this has worked for me in the past.

I will have to take a closer look at it next time I have my rig at home.

Great idea. I removed the vent and filled the bowl and it didn't drain any better, so that is not it. Didn't even know it was there! Thanks.

You have to take apart the sink drain plug and clean all the hair and gunk out of it.

Same situation here. The trap under the sink was clean. The problem was crud that had accumulated higher up in the pipe, just underneath the sink drain. I removed the section of pipe above the trap that included the sink drain and took it outside for a good blasting out with a hose sprayer. I could not believe how much disgusting crud came out. That fixed the problem.

I don't think their is a way to remove the sink cap clean down the pipe. Or is their a way?

Iggy, the sink drain can be removed from underneath. You will need a large adjustable wrench to loosen the nut that is located on the underside of the counter. Then disconnect the other end of the drain pipe at the trap. The pipe and attached drain lift out through the top of the sink. Be careful at this point, the drain pipe is the only thing that secures the glass sink to the counter.

I don't think a plunger would have worked to clean out the crud in the drain, as it would have just partially opened the blockage without really cleaning it all out.

Just unscrew the drain plug (turn CCW) and use a skinny brush to clean out the gunk. I do ours every couple of months or so.

I will first try unscrewing the stopper CCW. Haven't tried that yet and really don't want to take apart the piping.
