Sofa wearability

Disappointed with the lack of wear ability of the cushions and arms on the sofa our 350TS SE. We need the sofa replaced after only 5 years. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

our 2010 has worn out captain chairs and also the sofa we are replacing the sofa for a new sleeper sofa and buying covers for the chairs, I spoke to someone at Forest River and they said environmental issues ( heat, sun, cold etc..)have a lot to due with the material going bad, oh well ...

What are you going to replace the sofa with? We have never found our sofa comfortable and last week we tried to use the air bed for the first time and found it went flat before morning. We had thought we would replace it with two recliners. We are going to the Frog Rally in Goshen in August and plan to check out what we can find there. I did find that Lippert have a tri-fold sofa that looks like a good replacement but I sure would not order one before siting and laying on it. We do have an air bed at home that is comfortable that we could take in the RV if we go with the recliners.

Replacement furniture DOES NOT need to come from RV sources. Just sayin'. The sleeper sofa that came with our rig was the most uncomfortable seating in the coach. Slippery and hot to sit on. We went shopping a regular furniture stores and found an all leather, wall away reclining two seat home theater unit that was less money than any "RV" furniture replacement. Just ensure that the back will come off so you can get it in the door and if it is going into a slide then it needs to be a "wall-away" recliner so it will fit. Enjoy the shopping!

We did go to the Lazy Boy store the other day and we didn't find anything that we liked so will check out IN. We do hope to find something that will work with seat belts. We don't very often have anyone ride with us but would like to keep that option open.

Currently shopping for a replacement sofa too, as the vinyl upholstery is badly deteriorated. The sofa was never all that comfortable anyway...

Changed out the factory sofa/bed after the first year. We tried to sleep on it just once...........never again. The bar was sticking into your back, and the ergonomics of it being a sofa were nothing to rave about.

We replaced it with a zero clearance love seat recliner set that works really well, from a real furniture store. As mentioned by another, the backs come of easily for fitting through the door. We can still use the seat belts if needed. The comfort of this unit makes the occasional sleep overnight better than the original unit.

After all..........we never planned on being a Holiday Inn on wheels.
