Fixed it.....short in the wire harness mid-chassis. Only 3 short hours to find the problem...

Glad you found it! We'll call this a happy ending even though it sucks to have to
do that on a new unit!

Happy Camping!!

After determined the fuses were not blown, I went old school and crawled under the rig and started checking the wire from back to front, until I got a signal. I just used a low voltage circuit tester. Once I narrowed it the 2 ft section, I spliced in a jump wire around the short area with some waterproof splice taps. Tucked it all into the existing tubing and a little electrical tape...and good as new.

The last 3 RVs I've bought have had electrical issue with the lights (tail lights or clearance lights).....I'm cursed, I guess.

Hope that helps.

Was the wire

short = the 2 conductors touching, almost always results in a operated (blown) fuse

or

open = 1 or both conductor broken, sometimes the insulation is not broken

Thanks

I have no idea what it was. I narrowed the issue to a 2 ft section that I couldn't get to. So splicing in a jump wire around the problem area worked. It didn't blow the fuse. So perhaps by your terminology above, it would possibly be an open circuit.
