Sound bar for living room tv in 2012 378xl

We need to adjust the angle of the tv mount in the living room to raise the tv so that a sound bar can fit..has anyone done this?

What do you mean "raise" the TV mount.
I replace my 40" TV with a larger 43" smart TV. What I did was take out TV, removed the top trim of the cabinet by the screws on the inside of the cabinet. Then I fabricated a shelf so as to place a Direct receiver and a Sony Blueray DVD player home theater system.
Maybe you can place your sound bar in place of the receiver/Home theater system

our model does not have the tv built in...looks like we are going to have to take the mount off which is attached to the cabinet and add a block or something..was hoping the arm was adjustable but it appears not to be the case

With ours and several other individuals that have the 2012 378 we took the tv off the bracket and used a wall mount TV holder and secured it to the outside wall. Then you can move it up and use the self for the sound bar and sat receiver. Once you decide on the wall mount I used a piece of plywood and glued and 2" lag screws and screwed the wood to the wall, then the wall mount to the wood the hang the tv. Wola, I'll try to post a picture tomorrow.
