I have a 2015 GT and my bracket broke that the step bolts to...strengthened that with some angle iron.
My bolt broke, actually it's a tie-rod end. I found a replacement at a TruValue and replaced it.
Now the gears in the motor have stripped out and it only retracts or extends part way, then makes a very alarming grinding noise that attracts the attention of everyone in the campground.

My 335DS does the same thing. The gears in the motor are stripped. You can get it to stop by helping it go out or in by hand. If you bought your motorhome less than two years ago, PowerGear will replace the motor and pay the labor under their warranty. Right now I am waiting for them to ship a new motor.

Is yours a KwiKee step as well?

Edit: Never mind, I see Power Gear makes the step. I've contacted them to see if they'll replace mine as well. Thanks for the tip!
