I have a 350 DSSE and how i do it it shut the screen, and the steps go in and then slide the opening of the screen handle to shut the main power switch off

Steps retract

I use a magnet, place it over the door sensor switch on the inside of the door frame, this retracts the steps (thinking that the screen door is now closed), I then turn the power switch off and then close the door to the RV which pushes the magnet off the door sensor. Voila!

The magnet is a great idea. We have a set of steps we used with our fifthwheel when we were in texas for the winter and I couldn't figure out how to disable the steps on the motorhome so I could use the other steps. So, I took the battery cover off and closed the screen door to retract the steps and had my wife lay on the floor above the steps and unplug the wires going to the step motor. With a magnet I can do it myself and the plug is much easier to reach standing on the ground outside the door. Thanks for the great idea.
