Stress Crack
Hi,
In the picture lower right corner of bedroom storage cabinet door. Looks to me like a stress crack but my DW says I broke it from letting it slam close (1) time it slipped.
Anyway, i took the door off and stood it on its side pressing downward pretty hard until I saw the door bend. Question is can it be fixed or is it easier to by a new door and have it not match.

Stress Crack
I hope I did this right, sorry for no picture. So as I was saying, this looks like a stress crack and was wondering if it's worth repairing or just buy a new door with hopes that it matches with rest of overhead cabinet. When I took it off I stood the door on its side and applied a good amount of pressure and it didn't seem to move before the door started to bend.

Looks like a glue joint failed. If you have clamps, try and glue/clamp, otherwise bring it to a kitchen cabinet shop, or wood working shop.

I had this happen on a few doors, likely from humidity.
I put a little glue in the joint, squuzed it together with an inexpensive
woodworking clamp, then mounted l brackets on the inside of the door.
No problems since

Looks like it was not glued well initially. A little Gorilla glue in the joint and clamp and it will be better than new.

Yup, what others have said. Apply some wood glue to the butt joint, and work as much glue in as you can into the crack itself. Press it all back together with a bar clamp. A lot of the glue will get squeezed back out at that point. Clean it off with a damp rag and let it dry for a day. Make sure all the glue is cleaned up before it dries because it will be a major PIA to clean after it dries.

Beware when using Gorilla Glue. Always clamp the joint or the glue will expand and then nothing will fit. The stuff is weird. The good part is that when it expands when the joint is clamped well, the glue is forced into every nook, cranny, and pore. Strong stuff.
