Suspension?
Here is a weird one to me anyway. I drove fm Canada to Florida last Dec. I was parked at the same camp ground site since then till today. Today I moved my MH to a new site on the same camp ground. On my way down a couple of time I could hear a rubbing sound, when I got to the site I noticed that on the right side the tire had rub and broke my fender. From what I remember before when I was looking at the tire I could see the top of it being below fender level now the fender is about 1 inch below the top of the tire therefore rubbing when I turn. Look at suspension ( not that I know anything about it) could not see anything different from right to left side? What should I be looking at? What I am looking for? I have been having so much problems with this FR Motorhome that I am thinking about taking the lost and trade it in for another manufacturer or just getting out of the life style all together.

Are you sure you didn't hit something that is tall enough to damage the fender and rub the tire?
Fire Hydrant maybe.
The fender on the front should be a few inches above the tire.
If not I would take pictures and send to Forest River if the fender got damaged or the tires. If the front springs were broken on one of the leafs it may make the rig sag down on one side.
Either way I would take lots of pictures and send them to Forest River.

Thanks iggy, I know I didn't hit anything I think I would have felt/ heard it. I will contact forest River tomorrow. I looked everywhere under and I can't se anything out of place/broken/rubbing etc. but again I have no clue what I am looking at. Most woman know more about cars and trucks then I do. I am a turn the key hit the gas kind of guy. How and why it work never interested me LOL

3c and s. No, usually if you look at your tire when your jack are up you can see a space between the top of the tire and the fender
In my case the fender is lower then the top of the tire therefore when I turn the tire hit the fender.

Your a long way from home. If you are near Tampa in Florida. Lazydays has a facility in that location. They received good reviews. Their service number is 1-800-350-6728. After you get all the bugs out within a year, you should be ok, hopefully. Even the higher end coaches have problems. They can't pump these coaches out from the factory quick enough, and their quality control suffers. Good luck and be safe.

3C and S thanks for the info. I am waiting a call back fm FR. I have talked to my dealer back home they have never seen it. They told me that FR will be sending me to a Ford dealer somewhere close by Orlando. I got more mileage driving the RV To and from repair facilities then the trip Fm home to here.

One thing that I just thought about why your rig may be lower on one side.
Is it possible that shock lost is gas pressure and is totally collapsed and resting only on the leaf springs?
Just a thought.

Iggy I compared the two side and they look alike but again, I am the kind of guy that though I had lost my engine in my old Volkswagen Beetle back in the 80s. LOL

The first one as you can see the fender sit below the top of the tire, the second one is with the jacks down and it show where the tire and the fender should actually sit in relation to each other. You can see also where the crack form along the fender when the tire hit the lip of the fender.

Iggy may be on to something and I also think it has to do with your shock compressed which is causing your sag. If you can get under the rig and take some pictures of your springs and shock on the sag side and then take pictures of the good side. That my help us trouble shoot.

Kind of agree with Iggy on this. It sounds like a bad shock absorber. Curious to see what the diagnosis is.

The shocks don't effect the height. The leaf springs control the height. Check out the thread above this is a common problem with FR products the sidewall bolts break mine broke at 11,000 miles.

Does your unit have a kneeling feature when you setup at a site? (Coach drops down closer to ground for easier access) If so, perhaps it didn't automatically return to drive height when you started it up to leave the site.

Mike11272 Thanks i looked and I didn't see anything out of place. After going back and forth between Ford and FR. I will take it to Ford in davenport FL next week if they find nothing wrong with their chassis then 200$ out of my pocket and then I Will have to go back to FR.

Ramair I am all set up with the jacks down therefore not much weight on the springs or chocks. I don't think it would tell us anything right?
