Smile Tank chemicals kill grass

I recently had an accident with one of the holding tank valves and about half a gallon of "blue water" escaped onto the driveway. No big deal, "I'll wash it down the driveway with the hose."

From the house comes a voice, "DINNER'S READY!" ... I'd better hurry.

I quickly hosed it all off, spooled up the hose and hurried into the house.

A few days later there is a nice path of footprints marked in dead grass from the bottom of the driveway to the front door step.

As Homer says, D'oh!

If you know what the chemical is or to try to find out what it is you can get an MSDS sheet, this will tell you every thing about it, one has to be carefull when chemicals are spilled. If it killed the grass then what will it do to a child or your pet?

What was the brand? Some RV tank chemicals are now banned in many trailer parks/campgrounds due to the chemicals in them.

i've read many RV forums that many recommend avoiding the "Blue Poison" that some places sell.

there are much better and safer tank additives out there that cost just as much as the "Blue Poison".
