Tempurpedic mattress
Who has a tempurpedic mattress in their 378TS?
Is it the short queen with the rounded corners?
What are your "pros" and "cons' about the mattress?
The factory installed installed mattress just isn"t working for us.
Thanks in advance for your input.
Pete

We have a tempurpedic at home. We got a short queen foam mattress from overstock for the salem and put a good thick memory foam topper on it which we already had. I like it better than the real tempurpedic at home.

Lot's of options that are cheaper than, and just as good, as the Temperpedic. We installed a RV queen from "BedinaBox" in our previous rig and then had them swap it to our Crusader. Fantastic mattress. Friend bought one from Wal-Mart for his house and likes it.
We have tried the foam topper on 2 other mattresses but found them lacking. Didn't provide the same support, slid on top of the existing mattress so it was always needing to be adjusted. Also found that adding the topper did not allow the fitted sheets to stay in place.

I'm not saying this is better but I replaced mine in my 378TS with this Sleep Number short Queen with radius corners from Camping World. Extensive!

They do go on sale once in a while

Just saw 2.5" memory foam toppers(queen) at Home Depot. Usually 100. clearance 25. They had 15 or 20 of them

I tried the 4 inch memory form topper too but still could feel the wood under the mattress. I also ended up with a Mattress-in-a-Box from Walmart and really like it a lot. It is so comfortable and doesn't need a topper. It's been two years but I think I selected the mattress with springs & most memory form.

Was the factory installed mattress to hard or soft? I need a firm mattress due to a back injury and the foam type models are to soft.

We found a local mattress company, Melbourne Mattress, and had a custom one made. They do alot of RV mattresses and I like that the owner rounded all four corners and I can flip mine. Its wayyyy more comfortable than what we sleep on at home! So now we will be ordering one for the house too. Lived here for 25 years and didn't even know we had a local mattress manufacturer. And it was very reasonably priced.

It worked good for about a year. Firm. But it's "broken down" now.....high in the middle and both sides slope to the outside.

We have the short queen bed that lifts for storage under the bed. Besides the factory mattress what types can be used for this bed?
