There's good and then there's better?

Really starting to think there's two levels of Georgetown Motorhomes the way they post them here, although Forest River really doesn't state why the two different lines.

http://www.forestriverinc.com/Georgetown/default.aspx

Anyone seen an official statement.........maybe only the XL line has full body colours or bigger storage compartment doors etc????????

You have to compare the regular Georgetown next to a XL to see the differences.
Some things that the XL has and the regular Georgetown doesn't...
XL has the 22.5" tires with aluminum rims
XL has the better quality cargo doors
XL has large below cargo space height
XL has the higher ceiling inside
XL has a little different dash controls to the left of drivers seat.
XL has LED marker lights
XL has a few different cabinets inside such as one above entry door.
My XL has the 4 door refrigerator, not sure if this only XL
My XL has the fireplace and 40" TV, not sure if this is only XL
My XL has a build in navagator.. OH that's my DW. lol

Does anyone have any additional things the XL has?

Oh yes...and the glass bowl sink. The 22,000lb chassis which is why the 22.5" wheels. Stainless wheels vs. steel wheels.

The floorplans listed for the Georgetown and the Georgetown XL models are completely different, according to the latest brochures.

My 2010 330TS has the following features.......glass vessel sink, better quality cargo doors, the rock wall in the bedroom, LED tailights, dash controls to the left of the driver, and has no markings anywhere that it IS or IS NOT an XL model.

I'm guessing Forest River only recently made the two different lines in the last couple of years.

Anyone out there that can confirm this?

Thats wierd cause in early 2012 the XL model was the smaller white with trim models with less average GVWR and less features. By the middle of the build year the smaller modes were Georgetowns and the fancier more costly models with full body paint were the XL style. I had brochures of both and you really have to check the brochures for the year and (month) But for sure the floorplans are not the same and the price sheets either. CFoistman (sp) had brochures for years back in electronic format, maybe he can help you further. The present XL model has the bowl sink, controls on side, yours could very well be the upgrade model without the full body paint, a 8,000 option.

Upgraded georgetowns.

From martin73, our 2010gtown 337ds built in 2008, has the glass bowl, rock walls, full paint, led taillights, light controls on the left side, and 19.5 wheels. The late 2010 has the 22.5 aluminum wheels.

Your link shows the XL has larger Ford Chassis and longer wheelbase. Clearly larger and better equiped. Also cost more. Not all XL have the "full" paint jobs. I guess most obvious difference is the larger wheels on the super F-53 Ford chasssis. The name I was trying to remember is cfsoistman, he posted links to the the earlier GT sales brochures.

My 2005 342XL has the 22,000 lb. chassis with 22.5" wheels, the banks pkg, and some interior upgrades, but, alas, no rock wall and only partial paint, although it is gel-coated.

I really want the rock wall. I hear it improves gas mileage a bunch!
