Tiger Trak on GT

just got the Tiger Trak from blue ox today. I have a question and seeking your wisdom & experience,

the instructions & parts list calls out for the 2 bolts that go on the bushings for the bar to be torqued at 257 lbs, really?
my torque wrench only goes to 150lbs.....hmm guess I need to buy a heavy duty one.

also how long did it take you?

thanks.....

BTW- thanks for taking easy on DW & her Diaper table conversation

Everyone will tell you to use a torque wrench as it's the correct way to do it.

I also didn't have a torque wrench that big, so I used my calibrated arms along with red Loctite.

Mine took longer to install because the bar was too long to fit between the pumpkin and frame bracket. Had to cut some of it off to make it fit. Don't forget to check all bolts after a few thousand miles.

Thanks Al,

OK- I just wanted to bounce it off someone else that has done it...sp I'll do the same thing

I didn't check the lenthg of the bar....I'll do that this afternoon. I did check all the brackets and hardware since that was the problem last time.

How long did it take you?

The install is pretty quick once you figure out how the brackets go. I raised the rear end a little bit for more room with my creeper and grabbed my impact gun. I'd say it took about 30 minutes after figuring out the brackets and correct sockets. Don't forget to do the rear CHF while you are down there...if you haven't already done it.

I have to be honest in saying that not as much as I wanted to see. It reduced the tail end roll a bit, but so far the best improvements have been CHF and tire pressure. I still have steering stab and alignment to do.
