Tire conversion for 235/80R22.5

I noticed on Goodyear website they say you can use 245/75R22.5 to replace 235/80R22.5. Has anyone done this and their experience? the Michelin 235's are somewhat over priced. I am due to replace drive axle and didn't know if I could save some money. Thanks
