Tire monitor systems

Does anyone have a ten tire monitor system they like ? I want something easy to use and install. I appreciate any pro or con info. I'm thinking of a Christmas gift for hubby....we have a 2014 XL with 2014 Equinox tow.

I have had good results with TST TMPS wireless system with the 507 flow-through sensors.

Tire monitor systems

I'm happy with the Tire Minder System. I like that they give you free batteries every year.

I have the TST system and it works fine. I had a bad monitor when I got it. The antenna was broken. I called and after a few questions they said they would send I new on out and just dispose of the old one. By the time I hung up she had sent a tracking number and I had the new one in two days. She said she would next day it if I was on a trip. Great service.

+1 on the TST 507 system.
Has ability to set temp /pressure Hi/Lo limits on individual axles,
Replaceable sensor batteries
works very well I have had it for 3 years

Another vote for the TST system. After using it for over a year I would not want to be without one now. With the ability to set the pressure/temp limits I know if there is a tire problem occurring well before it becomes dangerous.

Another positive for the TST 507. I am running 8 sensors (4 on truck & 4 on trailer). One year in the books and not a single problem. Bought the system w/4 sensors and bought another 4 from Old Coot.

Another tire monitor question... How do I prevent theft of the tire monitors? Do they lock on ?

Ours "locks" with a set screw. The "key" is an Allen wrench. Not all that secure but for use, the perpetrator would need a compatible monitor.

The TST System uses a special tool to screw the sensor on the valve stem. Once on the valve stem the sensor will just spin if someone is trying to remove it. It cannot be unscrewed without the tool.

Can you put the sensors on the flexable valve stems that come on the inside tires on our georgetowns?

Yes, but there is very little room and it would be very difficult to add air. I had my tire shop add new extenders to both inside and out to make the units accessible. They used high quality braided extenders and riveted the end to a bracket on the wheel covers to keep them from flopping. Much more user friendly than the original set up. BTW: I chose the TST flow through style. I am very happy with how it turned out and over v 6,000 miles on them with no problems.

Ours came from Forest River with the braided extenders but with cast aluminum rims I don't know how to anchor them. I'm afraid that if I were to fasten anything but valve caps to the extenders they would flop all over.

I fasten my TST sensor to the rim with double sided foam tape, also bought a rubber plug to hold the extender in the middle of the rim hole. Held just fine until I remove the sensor during winter.

TST 507RV Tire Pressure & Temperature

After looking, reading and trying to understand - we decide on the TST 507RV TPMS. Lots of reason but the active ongoing dialogue with the owner on various sites of the course of several years convinced me that this business is here for awhile and understands it's product.

To make sure I got the right system I ordered from Great RV Products. This small business is owned by an RVer that cares. AND the will match the best price on the internet.

Not having something like this is ignoring the largest and most important safety item on your coach.

Here is the Great RV Link - TST Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems

All the best.
