Toad car weight - How much could I tow 2008 370 XL

Hello All,

We decided to keep the old 2008 370 xl. We did a lot of upgrades to it and it's running great after a few fixes.

Now we are in the market to by a toad, but I can't find the max weight my RV could pull. Could someone point me to an online manual please or if you have a picture of yours that will do.

Thanks
e

Toad Weight

I don't have the exact numbers available but we have a 2013 378XL and have towed a 2010 Honda Fit and currently tow a 2014 Honda CRV. The gas mileage goes down about .2-.3 at the 62 mph I normally drive at. The coach doesn't even know the vehicle is back there, until you try to back up or turn a little too tightly.

How do you like your 2014 Honda CRV? Which one do you have? I read that it is a great car to tow?

I would look at the sticker on the tow hitch.. Most are rated for 5000 lbs unless its a diesel pusher

look at the sticker inside and find the GCWR. This is your maximum weight you weigh going down the road with coach, toad ,fuel, water etc.
Go weigh your rig as you leave for a trip, deduct that weight from your GCWR and thats what you have left for a toad and tow bar.( Not to exceed your tow hitch capacity which is probably 5000lb). I pull a 2003 Dodge dakota.

I flat tow a 2010 Ford Flex. I drive about 62 mph and can't tell it is back there! Love the way it handles!

I have towed about 4200 pounds with my 2008. No problem during mountain driving.

2014 is the last year the CRV can be flat towed, Honda switched to a CVT transmission.
Here's a google search for "flat towing a 2015 crv"

I tow a 2011 Chevy Equinox. Only required to pull one fuse. Easy access.
