Sorry VinceU - Just looked at your profile and I see you have a 2012 378XL. If I'm reading it correctly, your GT should be able to tow up to 6,000 lbs...if your hitch allows it.

Mine is a 22,000 GVWR mfg in 2011. The Gross weight of 26,000 is the same as your charts show. Problem is that's a 4,000 lb towing rate also shown on your chart. Fr could choose a stock 3500 or a 5000 lb receiver, they correctly chose the former. The gear does not set the rating, only the chassis can do that. You will wisely not exceed what Ford publishes as its safe max ability.
