Toad Jeep Liberty

Have a 2011 378, and with all the bugs out, love it. Bought a 2010 Liberty Limited, weight right at 4400 lbs. Pulls nicely with Blue Ox and ReadyBrute tow bar, and I ran separate brake and turn signal wires to rear of Jeep from camper. You can tell it's back there (vs the 2003 CRV), but needed real 4x4 and seating for 5. Push button to put transfer care in neutral, transmission in park, key out. No steering wheel lock, and no electrical load on the battery.
Compass and Patriot are smaller, with 4x4, but not sure about neutral and a transfer case, or if they are Trail Rated.

We tow a Jeep Wrangler 4X4. They are pretty light and have no restrictions. Be careful what you choose as most vehicles will tow with restrictions...some minor others not so much. Some have to idled or trans pumps installed. Others will have speed or mileage restrictions.

Go to motorhome magazine for the list of towable cars and SUV's for the year you want.

Jeeps, Jeeps, and Jeeps. Did I say Jeeps?

We have a 2005 Liberty Renegade 4X, a 1989 Wrangler, and a 1984 CJ.

All of them tow like they ain't even there, except for about a half mpg.

Depends on where we're going, or what we're doing, but the darn little Liberty can do most of what the big guns can!

We pull a 2012 Ford Focus which does very well & gives me a run around car when home that gets good gas mileage.

Please be aware that the 2012 Ford Fusion & Escape have been removed from the approved FMCA list of approved 4 down towing vehicles.
