Too much salt in the diet

Florida in January and February was much better than the frozen north, but now we may be paying the price.

We took our 2014 335 to Florida for January and February. Getting out out of the frozen north meant salted roads and of course lots of salt spray under the motor home.

Despite fresh water rinses, I am seeing signs of surface corrosion on some components. Is there any product or procedures to address this issue before it becomes a real problem? I only see minimal affect now, just want to be pro active.

We said we would never take ours out on the salt, but we got caught in a winter storm in VA coming back up from FL. That stuff managed to get everywhere under the coach. I couldn't wash it off until about a week later and it already started to corrode things. I have used salt terminator for years and it helps neutralize the effect. I have the one with the sprayer that mixes the chemical as you spray. I spray it, let it sit, wash it off, let it dry, spray it with a rust converter, and then use undercoat in certain areas.

Naval jelly to remove rust, then treat with POR-15...

It's going to rust underneath because there's no paint under there unless you do it your self!!!

Use a pressure washer for thorough cleaning. Spray metal parts with black Rustoleam primer.
