Tow Dolly setup - Does this look ok?

Hi folks...we are heading out in the morning and will be puling a demco dolly for the first time. I have concerns about my hitch height. My ball is about 19 inches to the top of it. The demco video recommended 18 inches but the biggest drop I could find was 5 1/4 inches. Anyways, I have everything hooked up and I am wondering if I am going to have ramp dragging issues. Should I go with an adjustable hitch if I can find one. I am thinking a 7 inch drop would help the ramp situation out. Here are a few pics, the ramp is about 3 inches off the ground as its parked now in my driveway.

Any advise before I hit the road is appreciated.

The adjustable hitch from Reese did the trick. (model 21141) Walmart $39. Set at 7.5 inches. The ramps are about 5 inches off the ground now.

Our towed rides (4) wheels down, but I ALWAYS padlock the entire system together rather tan the little clip pin shown in your picture.

Yes, I bought a combo lock pin but when I went to the adjutable hitch I have 2 pins now and need to get another one.

I'm getting ready to buy my dolly in the next couple of weeks. Can someone tell me what "small pin" in the picture you are referring to?

Thanks

PS Sorry I haven't got back to you Ken, absolutely crazy here.

Both the pin to secure the receiver unit into the motorhome, and a small clip to secure down the trailer hitch to the ball.....

Both should be replaced with locks.

You can get matching locks even in the trailer section at Walmart.
