This really turned out to be a great thread. Thanks for all of the information on using the tow/haul feature, especially to Iggy for posting the article from Ford. I really learned a lot.

My Tow/Haul has also quit working in a 2012 337XL. The indicator light on the dash also does not light on start up. It acts like a fuse, but I have checked every fuse in the fuse block under the dash as well as the mower distribution box under the hood as well as fuse number 18. I am told by ford that it is added aftermarket and they do not know the fuse location. Also when contacting FR I was sent manuals but the fuse location is not shown. I have been under the dash and cannot find it. Any ideas ?

Who did you talk to at Ford? A dealer? The TOW/HAUL system belongs to Ford. Find another dealer.

Ok, so I was not the only one that thought that was odd...

The person at Ford was at a Ford
truck dealer. Maybe he said it was aftermarket because he did not want to work on an RV

Common on the Ford trucks to have the teeny tiny wires from the button break. Usually down where it attaches to the column.

That is what I understood from the ford dealer & that's exactly what was wrong with mine

It is definitely a ford issue and I bet the wires in the steering column is broken mine was covered under warranty

Also, just as an FYI...

The " shifter" is very fragile.
There is an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve. Both made from some sort of cast metal. Try not to park on a slope, that would put pressure on the shifter, when placed into " park". I've replaced quite a few.

Thanks for the input. There is a recall on this chassis for a shifter linkage issue, I have made an appointment to get it looked at while the recall is being done.
