Towing a car trailer with motorhome

I have been shopping around for a car trailer to tow behind my motorhome. I have played with the idea of flat towing but I trade in vehicles all the time plus I may want to take different ones on trips. I do not like the tow Dolly's just because most of my vehicles are rear wheel drive. So anyone who is towing or has towed a trailer please give me advice on what I should be looking for and potential problems thanks

A friend of mine dollied rear wheel cars for 17 yrs without problems behind his MH. 3 trips from IL to Alaska and 16 to FL and one to Arizona. He loaded them with the rear wheels on the dolly, locked the steering wheel and headed on his way. Everyone, including the dolly mfg said it couldn't be done, but I guess he was like the humming bird that doesn't have the wingspan to fly. The humming bird doesn't know it so it just goes on flying.

I have a 16' steel open car weighs about 2000 lb empty. Load it with a vehicle and you're up around 5500 lbs. Would your MH be able to tow that weight?
