We tow a Mini CooperS automatic on a tow dolly.

Manual transmission cars can USUALLY be towed 4 wheels on the ground with a tow bar.
Automatic cars USUALLY can't, they need the drive wheels on a dolly.

Before buying the Cooper I spent hours reseaching the + and - of towing with a tow bar and a tow dolly. Ended up with an automatic on a tow dolly.
Either method will set you back $1500. OR more. The dolly takes very little setup the bar requires a lot of setup on the car but is easer to attach to the motor home.

The owners manual for your 500 will tell you if and how it can be towed.

We tow a Subaru Outback & have no issues, but your fuel mileage will take a dive. We just keep out speed under 65 an roll on.

I have a 2013 Georgetown and tow a 2009 Jeep Liberty 4 down. As long as you have a disconnect switch for the driveshaft your ok. All wheel drives are a no no to tow 4 down which I think is the way to go. I don't even know the Jeep is behind me. Good luck with everything!

Yes he has contacted me directly and I have given him all the information and pictures I have.

It is so easy I have to make sure it is still attached.
Actually the small weight is noce an d no need for any brake controller being under 3,000 lbs as most state laws allow.

I saw another thread about where to get this done - RV dealer or elsewhere, so I'm wondering - where all did you guys get your tow bars done?

I'm am not mechanically inclined, so an involved process I would defer to a mechanic.

RoadTrip I installed it myself but Camping World and I'm sure local dealers will install everything including the electrical for a few hundred dollars.

You can hire me but I charge by round trip mileage on top of the installation costs so I guess me travelling to MO is out of the question.

I did and Thank You. My son has solved the problem tho. Has bought me a 16' alum.trailer with duel axles electric brakes on all 4 wheels #7000 gvw 7.6' wide. now will load my bike victory vision #906 and drive fiat in and go. He says that will make it easy for his momma and me. It is a box trailer he says that way the car and bike won't get as dirty. He is the only child we raise a good one.

My mind's already wondering how I can get my Sunseeker AND toad over to AZ....

hmmm, maybe rent a uhaul car dolly? Surely they'd rent those separate from a truck....

Well shooooot - I ain't even ready yet! I still have to research tow bars, become terminally indecisive about that, then research braking assist thingys, and flip flop on those - and then finally I have to debate in my head whether we even need a toad with a class C...

We got plenty of time....
