towing a smart car

we are thinking about selling our 2000 amigo and getting a smart car,can they be towed 4 down? cant find any info

2014 dingy round up says its towable 4 wheels down with manual transmission only. Have to install battery kill switch and follow procedure in owners manual. Aparrently detailed.

They make a little trailer just for them. I looked it up for a friend. They are around $3000, as I recall.
