Trading 2011 378TS

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are trading our 378TS on a 2006 Gulfstream Tour Master T40A. I know you must think we're crazy, only having our Georgetown a year and nine months, but I guess I just won't be happy unless I own a Diesel Pusher. We were very happy with our Georgetown and figure we got exactly what we paid for. We had very few problems and FR stood behind their product 100% for us. But, you gotta be pretty handy to own one of these things no matter what brand you buy. Since we are fulltimers and pretty good sized people we just needed more room and storage. Especially the storage and a king size bed doesn't hurt anything either. But the main reason is the DP. The Ford V10 was also every thing I thought it would be and more. It handled the motorhome and my equinox easily and with no problems. But, we just didn't like all the noise when you're going up a hill and the tranny shifts down all the way to second and the the rpm's jump to 4900. Better to have all that noise behind you. And, having had a Dodge Cummins, I miss the torque and low rpm power. Some of you are probably wondering why I'm going back to a 2006, but I'm sure most of you figured out that I don't have $250,000 for a new one. And wouldn't spend that much on one if I did. Anyway, Gulf Stream is not making any new class A's right now, but plan to in the future. I want to thank you all for the help you guys have given me and hope I was a little bit helpful too. I still have this forum in my favorites, so I'll be on here occasionally to see what going on. If you want to see what we're getting go to www.mhsrv.com and put no. 5446 in the keyword of the search engine. Off to Texas Monday.

Don, like you, I have been thinking uptrade to a DP, and likewise I have been checking the same dealer on line. What kind of deal did he offer, as to value of Georgetown? I know we will lose, just do not want to lose my shirt.,

Hit the send button by mistake. The whole price on the 2011 Georgetown 378 was $71000. The whole price on the Gulfstream Tour Master was $92500, but they had it priced at $90000. They first offered me $65000 for my Georgetown. I held my my and finally settled for $68500. Both prices $2500 under wholesale. I got a 10 day free trial on NADA online guides so I could find out the whole prices on each unit. I will say, besides the dealing, this has been the best buying experience I've ever had. They go over each coach thoroughly and if you find anything wrong during the pdi or anytime until you leave they will fix it. They even completely paint the frame. They put a brand new 15500 A/C unit on the front of mine. I highly recommend this dealer. Oh, forgot free loaner car and all the bottled water you can drink while staying there.
