There is nothing wrong with that, I think it's the same one I have been using forever, is that the portable 30 amp ems? They work great if it is, granted it doesn't give you the same info on a read out as a progressive does, but it will do the same thing. As far as warranty, people say progressive is life time, and yours is not, well I had a water leak in mine after 3 years it made it so you couldn't read the screen, it still worked fine. I called them and after 3 years maybe closer to 4 they just sent me a new one. I still have it and use it on my M/H. I'm pretty sure that is the model I have without looking. Good deal for you, they are best for low voltage. I won't plug in without it...

It's a 30 amp as I have said, TRC makes two different voltage models 30 and 50. The only difference in the unit is the voltage, both models work the same with the same protection. Does that answer your question?

People have always claimed that the Progressive Industries EMS is better than the TRC/SurgeGuard for no other reason than the Progressive Industries EMS has a lifetime warranty and the TRC/SurgeGuard does not.

TRC/SurgeGuard EMS units DO have a lifetime warranty.

Both units have a limited lifetime warranty. The old Progressive units had unlimited, meaning that they would replace several times if necessary. Limited now mean that it will be replaced once in your lifetime.
