Updated GT 378 stand alone dinnette

For someone familiar with the issue; Is the latest GT 378 (2015/2016) stand alone dinette a stable platform or is it as rickety as the earlier (2012) dinette? I see the pedestal is more substantial but the table top appears the same. Can't see how the base (pedestal) is connected to the top. It's a 90 mile trip for me to check out myself and don't know if it would be worthwhile. I have the part number. Thank in advance.

We purchased a dining room table from a local furniture store and works great we did the 36" tall rather than the 30". when traveling it stays put and have had no issues. You don't need to purchase rv specific furniture, and you may save money also.

We have the dinette in our 378 and don't have any issues with it. But we keep it secured to the floor.... There is a pin that keeps the top secured while underway. Keep our laptops inside the flip up top.
