Upgrade/MOD to Jack Antenna
I just installed the Jack antenna on my Georgetown 378TS XL.
I removed the OEM dish and used the existing conduit hole on roof.
The thickness of the roof is 4 1/4" and had to use the optional extension arm that came with kit. The roof layer is fiberglass sheet, 1/4" plywood, approx. 2" foam, another 1/4" later of plywood then more foam then the interior soft ceiling material.
I spent about 3 hours doing this but spend much time making sure I can use existing hole and where it came out inside above drivers seat.
I patched the original 3 old OEM dish mounts with Eternabond tape. I cut circles thinking it would be better than squares.
Looks good and works great! The manual directional LED finder in base inside works like it suppose and picked up gobs of channels locally.
If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures just ask.
