Brian,

All this talk about the problem with the valve stems has me wondering, what does Chevy 4500 chassis have for stems. We will be picking up our 2860 the 28th and driving it 900 miles back to Colorado Springs. Do not think the wifie would like it if tire parts are flying onto the prairie.

We're using the Air Flexx non pressurized. We've had no issues with those.

here ya go folks. my boss ran these on his trucks/trailers when i was driving otr. just a quick walk around to check tire pressure. no more messing around with pressure gauge tring to check inside tires. easy peezy.

Link - Cat's Eye, Tire Pressure Maintenance System

about 200 per dual wheel position, so you motor home guys will only be out around 400 bucks, or about the price of a new tire.

My valve stem nuts (that hold them in the bracket that is riveted to the hubcap) keep rusting. I've received free replacements from the vendor, but they still rust. Has anyone been able to find stainless steel valve stem nuts?

Thanks.

I couldn't stand the valve extensions either. I purchased a kit from Duallyvalves.com, it comes with the extensions and 1.75 inch stabilizers for the inside wheel, plus the outside 90 degree valve stem. I took it to a tire shop to have them installed. It has made it so much easier to check tires psi.

Are tire pressure monitors able to go on the extensions?
