Vent lid shattered by hail

Well here's a reason to install vent covers. Our power vent lid in bathroom was completely shattered by hail last night. The front vent that had a cover on it is fine.

I'm hoping there is a way to replace just the lid and not the entire vent. It looks to be riveted to the hing side and lift arm. Perhaps a universal lid could be riveted back in place?

Camco makes replacement covers for the vents. Need to ID the style but they are available without cracking the seal and replacing the whole thing. They range from 12-20 bucks.

Mike,

I've replace mine twice due to hail. You will need to remove the screen and remove the retaining clip on the brace that raises the cover. Once the clip is removed, you'll need to be on top of the camper to slide the vent cover off and slide a new one on. The covers are on ebay or amazon for $11-14 shipped.

None of the sealed edges are disturbed during this process...

Just had my fridge vent destroyed this morning by hail on my trade in trailer. It was pretty brittle looking last time I was up there but it was the only thing hurt on the trailer. I consider myself lucky on that one as I will be trading it in Saturday.

Good info and thx for replies. Mine is a Hengs brand model 122112. It looks identical to the Camco one in the link. It says it's for Ventline and one other brand but doesn't mention Heng's. Anyone happen to know if the Camco would work?

Looks exactly like the camco lids I purchased. I think they are 14x14 which the measurement is the most critical aspect. You'll most like have to remove the screen to remove the crank assembly in order to slide the brace all the way back to the large hole at the end of the slot.
