Want to replace CRT televisions with LCDs

I want to replace both the large TV over the cab and the smaller one in the bedroom with flat screen LCDs. I've seen a few articles on some tech sites, but I was wondering if anyone with a Georgetown has attempted this...would appreciate the benefit of your experience re: removing old TVs and what type of mount you used for the LCDs. Pictures would be VERY helpful! Thanks!

Also, I've heard that it's hard to get much of a response from Forest River about technical issues...like getting Owners' Manuals. Has anyone found an effective way of contacting them?

I replaced the old TV in our last motorhome with an LCD but you have to be inventive and handy with the tools. With some good old ingenuity anything is possible.

As for manuals I have found that many of them are available from their individual manufacturers in PDF form. Go to the web sites for each component manufacturer and look for a "support" menu. You can find many of the manuals that way. Forest River doesn't make anything but the shell of the RV so they don't stock the manuals for the components items and appliances.

piscesman - I went to FR web site and e-mailed a request for the manuals to a 2005 Georgetown. Sent the VIN # and they sent the manuals. Although it did cost $25.00 for a complete set.

Thanks Mike....I have been dealing with FR on a couple of issues, and they seem to respond pretty quickly...I'll try this on them next!
