Warranty, to fill or not to fill out?

Just bought a Georgetown MH. Is it absolutely necessary to fill out the warranty cards or do you automatically get a 1 year warranty on everything? If something needs repaired in first year don't they go by when you bought the RV?

It's hard to find all the info and I have serial numbers from boxes that were not labeled so I have no idea what they go to.

Also bought extended warranty, so what do they go off of?

We didn't fill out any cards, but after reading these threads for a month or two I'm thinkin' we're gonna dig out *all* the paperwork again and fill out *every* piece of paper we can find!

That is, after we get 'er back from the dealer...they're performing our first warranty work.

Your dealer should have taken care of the Forrest River , Ford and extended warranty registrations. I have found that the other registrations ( appliances, TVs, etc) aren't required as long as you can prove ( bill of sale) when you bought your RV.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping. I don't mind filling out the warranty cards if I have the info but some items don't have info on them.
