Does yours look like this?
If it does it is a PUR CCI-10-CA which are very expensive.
I buy ones from Home Depot in the appliance department.
Charcoal and two for $12

GE Carbon Replace Filter 2-Pack-FXWTC at The Home Depot
I also remove them and wash off the large particles and should last a few years.

Good idea Iggy, I'm old enough and remember when the bottle water was not a craze like Distilled water or spring? Well water always was better then city water. Water filters and bottled water is a billion dollar business. I agree that you would want something to stop anything big trying to get through or sand. I didn't know that any filter would fit, thanks. Now it's 50 microns or 100, 200 or what ever they can sell you on. I remember taking pellets and dropping them in your water in my army days. But that was from river water.....

The original ones are only 30 bucks. You should only have to replace it every couple of years. I remove it and put it in a sealed bag when winterizing.

Thanks everyone. I'll give that one a try. When I go back out in a few weeks to check on everything ill see if I can tell what kind it is. It looks like the one above but my canister is not clear.
